Snobird and Cracker Reunion, Arcadia, FL

Motherstormcrow went "Bluegrassing" this past weekend and had a great time listening to Smokey Greene, The Lake City Slickers, and many other talented Bluegrass bands. Of course our travelling luck followed us and the first thing Motherstormcrowe did after alighting from the MH was stand in a nest of very large fire ants. Of course they bit Motherstormcrowe all over the foot and ankle. Spraying Windex (with ammonia) does not work to keep the bites from blistering nor does Crest toothpaste. So off to the local Walmart to get some itchy cream. Then the rain and storms started and we had a deluge of rain for at least 18 hours. Good thing the reunion was under cover and the show went on. Motherstormcrow's spouse was very patient even though he does not like bluegrass and froze to death watching it. He says I really owe him now!!!!!! Check again for our next humerous travel experience. We do enjoy them, though.

Motherstormcrow also added a new granddaughter to her family tree - a little girl named Marie Catherine. That makes four granddaughters for me and one grandson.

Number 1 son, the Amazing Shrinking Man has shrunk a total of 325 pounds now, shaved off his beard and is almost unrecognizable to me and I am his Mother!!! Can't wait to see him in person.

Motherstormcrowe gets Montezuma's Revenge

Travelling Motherstormcrowe and her mate cruised to Princess Cays, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Jamaica?? the only port to which I had never been. Had a great cruise until the 4th day out after taking a shore excursion to Playa Mia Beach in Cozumel for fun, sun, buffet. I LEARNED MY LESSON BIG TIME. DON'T EAT THE FOOD AND HAVE ICE IN MEXICO. After 6 hours of a near death experience of nausea etc. (pot and bucket) ship's Dr. was summoned, I was pronounced alive, diagnosed with Norwalk Virus (it was probably food poisoning), given a painful shot in the leg for nausea, pills for other, and something to make me sleep after I vacated the head and was then quarantined to my stateroom for 36 hours. Guess what?? I missed the lobster dinner (one of my tablemates ate 5 lobster tails) and Jamaica. My souvenirs of the cruise are a Princess glass with a battery operated strobe light in the base, a large bruise on my leg from the shot, and a weight loss of two pounds after a 7 day cruise where I blew my diet royally. Oh well, it happens!

TRIBUTE TO THE AMAZING SHRINKING MAN

Thanks to #1 Son, "the Amazing Shrinking Man" I not only have an active blogsite, but a son who is half the man he was. I mean that literally! He now weighs fewer pounds than he has lost. What a miracle! If you had know him a year ago, you would have seen him sitting in an oversized wheelchair, laboring to breathe even though he was on oxygen full time, and connected to a bipap while he slept. I have prayed for years that he would make the courageous move to have gastric bypass surgery which was the last resort to save his young life or the move that would end is life. A large prayer circle and an excellent surgeon saved his life. Tom's months of courage to stay on a restricted diet has made his life better.

The change in him has been phenomenal. He now rides a bike daily, has return to college to become a nurse, and truly is a new man. I cannot express how proud of him I am and also his wife, Mrscraftystormcrowe for her devotion through thick (and I mean thick) and thin!! Love you both.

The do come north in the summer and their breeding ground is as far north as Indiana
